Welcome to the East Midland Racing Association

Starting racing? If you are thinking of starting racing - this may help.  What do I need before I enter a race with EMRA?

  1. EMRA Membership (£15 per annum)
  2. An ACU Competition Licence for Road Racing
  3. An official EMRA entry form How do I obtain each of the above?
  4. Licence Restriction & Grades

1). The EMRA 2010 Membership Application is available from the club officers or on the tag above. You must complete the membership form and include the correct fee. Don’t forget to sign your acceptance of the EMRA Rules (omission will invalidate your application).

2). The 2010 ACU Competition Licence application form is also available from the club officers, or from the ACU direct (01788 566400 – www.acu.org.uk ). This needs to be completed using the guidance notes supplied with the application form itself. On page 6 of the ACU application you will find a section which requires an endorsement by your affiliated club. This would appear to create a “chicken and egg” scenario, as you are probably only just completing your application to join the club at the same time. Do not worry. Simply complete and send both forms to the club offices together. Remember to complete SEPARATE payment details for each form, the licence fee should be made payable to “ACU Ltd” whereas the club membership should be made payable to “East Midland Centre ACU Ltd”. We then send your ACU application directly to ACU HQ or back to you if so requested. Part of the ACU application includes the ACU-CTC course, this needs to be completed by all first time applicants. The ACU will not issue a Road Race licence to a first time applicant until the course has been successfully completed.

3). If any of the above is unclear or confusing, please email, and we will attempt to resolve any issues.
